Delta Air Lines currently offers nonstop flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Papeete’s Faaʻa International Airport (PPT). The 3x weekly flights will stop on June 7th (as they were seasonal), but the resumption on October 7th has been cancelled as Delta is dropping the route.

Delta’s SkyTeam partner, Air France, currently flies the same route and Delta flyers will be steered over there. Additionally, Air Tahiti Nui flies from both Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Papeete’s Faaʻa International Airport (PPT). United Airlines and French Bee also offer flights from San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
Anthony’s Take: I love Tahiti and nearby Bora Bora even more. With Air France handling this route it looked like it was only going to be a matter of time before Delta pulled it.
