Delta’s newest Sky Club® is about to open at Minneapolis−Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) on April 19th. This is a much needed addition, as the existing F/G Sky Club® is too small to accommodate all of the current passengers.

Construction has been underway for some time. Delta announced in November that the lounge would open in April and they’re sticking to that promise.

The new G concourse lounge at will measure 21,000 square feet, nearly twice the size of the current F/G Sky Club® (which is 12,000 square feet and rather dated). It will include seating for 450 guests, an indoor/outdoor bar that offers access to a 3,000 square-foot, year-round Sky Deck with views of the runway.

Renderings for the new lounge put it on a par with the beautiful designs seen at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD review here), LaGuardia Airport (LGA review here), and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX review here).

Anthony’s Take: I look forward to checking out this new lounge the next time I’m transiting MSP. Delta has stepped up the lounge game for US carriers and the Sky Clubs® are some of my favorite places to relax, eat, and work before a flight.
