Delta Air Lines and the LATAM group are adding new flights as the joint venture continues to grow the combined network between North and South America. This furthers the current partnership, which connects more than 200 North American destinations served by Delta to the more than 120 South American destinations flown by LATAM.

Alex Antilla, Delta’s Vice President for Latin America, said:

The mission of Delta and the LATAM group’s partnership is to make travel between our Joint Venture markets in North and South America easier and more enjoyable, and to bring the continents closer than ever. We’re grateful for the response from customers who are moving over to Delta and the LATAM Group. These exciting new routes, combined with our loyalty benefits, will provide even more ways to discover and do business in these dynamic markets. Just as importantly, we look forward to welcoming LATAM Airlines Peru on their first Atlanta route, to facilitating more connections through Delta’s largest hub, and to attracting new visitors to the Peach State.”

Medellin

Miami to/from Medellin

LATAM Airlines Colombia will launch new daily service between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Medellin Airport (MDE) on October 29th. The flights will be operated by an Airbus A320 with Premium Economy and Economy Class offered.

Lima

Lima to/from Atlanta

LATAM Airlines Peru will introduce 3x weekly service between Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) also on October 29th. This route will have a Boeing 767 with Business and Economy Class available. Flights will be on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and will will complement Delta’s existing daily service.

Cartagena

Cartagena to/from Atlanta

Delta will begin service between Cartagena Rafael Nunez International Airport (CTG) and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) on December 22nd. These 3x weekly flights will be flown on a Boeing 737 with First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin (Economy Class).

Bogota

Bogota to/from Atlanta

Delta will also add a second daily flight between Bogota El Dorado International Airport (BOG) and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) on October 29th. A Boeing 757 will offer First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin (Economy Class).

Anthony’s Take: Delta keeps expanding its network and its partnership with LATAM is giving it a presence to compete with American Airlines. I love all of the additional flights. Cartagena is a great city and I’m headed to Lima in August.
