Delta Air Lines is adding a new South American route from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). Starting on January 6th, the airline will fly 3x weekly to São Paulo/Guarulhos-Governor André Franco Montoro International Airport (GRU).

The new flights will be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 34 Delta One®, 21 Premium Select, 24 Comfort+, and 144 Main Cabin seats. LATAM currently serves the route 3x weekly and has flown it since 2018. This ends on January 3rd and restarts on March 31st. It looks like Delta is only filling a gap this winter. We’ll see if it adds flights at other times that LATAM does not fly the route.

Anthony’s Take: This looks like Delta is filling in for its partner this winter, but we’ll see if the route remains once LATAM restarts in March.
