Marriott has launched a new promotion called “Escape to Luxury.” It offers a $300 credit for spa services, dining, golf, and more when booking stays of two nights or more at St. Regis, EDITION, and Ritz-Carlton hotels. There are 53 properties participating in North America, including some of my favorites like the St. Regis Bal Harbour and Ritz-Carlton South Beach. Additionally, there are eight in Central America and the Caribbean as well as the St. Regis Bora Bora and the Ritz-Carlton Santiago. All reservations must be booked by Sunday, March 26th and stays must be completed by April 16th.

Specifics of each offer can be found on the offer’s booking page. Rates are per night and are prepaid at the time of reservation. Individual hotel cancellation policies in place at the time of reservation will apply.  Changes to a reservation are subject to availability and any rate differences. Offer must be prepaid with a credit card and require booking at least 48 hours prior to stay. Refunds for prepaid reservations may take up to 90 days from the date of cancellation to be processed. The form and timing of refund may be subject to applicable laws where each hotel is located.
  • For Marriott Bonvoy™ members, the offer consists of a promotional folio credit up to $300. For non-members, the offer consists of a promotional folio credit up to $200. Promotional folio credits are per stay and may not be used toward room rate, tax, service charge, or resort fee. Upon checkout, the credit will be applied to the room folio. Credit may not be used for future stays or redeemed for cash. Rates are offered for stays Thursday through Sunday for the upcoming 4 weeks/weekends as available. Rates require a two-night minimum stay. Thursday requires a Friday night stay. Sunday requires a Saturday night stay. Participating resorts offer the discount all days of the week and require a two-night minimum stay, subject to availability.
  • A limited number of rooms are available and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Some hotels may not be available on select dates. Rates are for standard rooms, per night and based on single or double occupancy. Rates do not include taxes, fees, other costs or gratuities. Rates cannot be used in conjunction with other offers and/or discounts. Rates do not apply to groups of 10 or more rooms. Rates are quoted in local currency.
  • Member Rate reservations must be made on a direct Marriott booking channel such as Marriott.com, worldwide telephone reservation center, mobile app or directly at a hotel. Rates booked directly on Marriott booking channels are eligible to earn Marriott Bonvoy points. Member Rates are valid for Marriott Bonvoy members only; to join, visit MarriottBonvoy.com. Rates booked through most third-party online retailers, such as Expedia and Priceline and select travel agent rates do not qualify for Marriott Bonvoy points.

Anthony’s Take: If you’ve wanted to travel in the next few weeks and one of these destinations is on your list, then this credit is a nice perk. While I would not go out of my way to book one of these hotels just for the promotion, it does provide real value for what will surely be an expensive folio.

Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: When I’m staying at a Marriott hotel, I want to maximize my points earned. My card of choice is the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card. With it, I earn six Marriott Bonvoy® points for each dollar spent at hotels participating in the Marriott Bonvoy program. It also includes up to $300 statement credits per calendar year (up to $25 per month ) for dining in restaurants worldwide. Plus, a free night award that I can redeem at any Marriott hotel with a redemption level at or under 85,000 Marriott Bonvoy® points. Rates & fees. Terms apply.
