SkyWest will soon add four new regional routes flown on behalf of either American Airlines or United Airlines under the American Eagle and United Express names, respectively. The flights from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Denver International Airport (DEN) will begin in August.

Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)

Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) will see daily service to/from Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA) using a Bombardier CRJ700 with nine First Class and 56 Main Cabin seats. This route will run seasonally from August 6th through October 6th. American will be the only carrier operating this route.

United flyers will see 12x weekly service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Purdue University Airport (LAF). This route begins on August 5th with 2x daily service on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The Bombardier CRJ200 that will fly this route for United offers 50 Economy Class seats.

Denver International Airport (DEN)

United Airlines will offer a pair of new flights out of Denver International Airport (DEN). These include South Dakota’s Pierre Regional Airport (PIR), which will see daily flights with 2x service Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays (12x weekly total). Flights begin on August 1st using Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft.

Watertown International Airport (ART) in upstate New York will also begin on August 1st with daily flights. This route will also employ the Bombardier CRJ200.

American Planes

Anthony’s Take: While not the most glamorous of routes, these four will make it easier for travelers to have much greater access to tons of flights through American and United’s hubs in Chicago and Denver.
