American Airlines announced today that it is introducing limited-edition Stand Up To Cancer® (SU2C) amenity kits across its premium cabins on Flagship® long-haul international and transcontinental flights. These sustainable kits will be taking flight over the next few weeks.

American partnered with sustainable fashion brand Raven + Lily and SU2C design these kits. They feature SU2C’s red, orange, yellow, and black color palette as well as the organization’s logo. Skincare brands Macabalm and Pholk Beauty created the contents. Passengers in Flagship® Business and Premium Economy will receive Pholk Beauty hand lotion and Macabalm lip balm. Those seated in Flagship® First will find hand lotion and facial mist from Pholk Beauty and lip balm and a towelette from Macabalm in their kits. Pholk Beauty is a Black woman-owned beauty brand working with Black farmers across the Southern US, Africa, and the Caribbean. Macabalm is a female-founded and Australian-made brand pushing the boundaries on natural organic skincare.

These specialty kits further celebrate the SU2C fundraising campaign that American launched last month. The airline has supported the organization and its life-saving cancer research since 2016. This is the second, limited-edition kit that American has released this year.

Anthony’s Take: These amenity kits are bright and different. I love that American is partnering with SU2C and driving donations for cancer research.

To be consistent with their message, they should also stop serving meat on the flights.
