Air Canada announced today that it’s offering complimentary snacks, beer, and wine beginning today in Economy Class on domestic and transborder flights. These freebies are being offered through the end of 2024 and are a really nice gesture to make flying Economy a bit nicer.
If you’re flying Air Canada, here is what you’ll experience soon:
- Complimentary premium snacks are now offered to Economy passengers on all Air Canada flights. These include two Canadian favorites: Alberta’s family-owned and female-led TWIGZ (buttery herb and garlic pretzels) and Quebec-based Leclerc’s Célébration Cookie.
- Complimentary beer choices include Hop Valley, Creemore Springs Premium Lager, Molson Canadian, and Coors Light
- Complimentary wine selections include two French wines from Paul Mas
Cocktails will not be free, but Baileys Original Irish Cream, Canadian Club, Bacardi Superior, Bombay Sapphire, Smirnoff, Tromba Tequila Blanco, and Campari are each only $5 (a discounted price).
Scott O’Leary, Vice President, Loyalty & Product at Air Canada, said:
We’re thrilled to continue elevating the Economy travel experience in North America, and we’re proud to spotlight Canadian brands with this thoughtfully curated lineup of complimentary snacks and beverages, in time for your summer travels. This builds on our recent industry-leading food and beverage upgrade to make travel better for all customers, including 100+ new rotating seasonal recipes.”
Anthony’s Take: It’s rare to get a good snack in Economy and even more generous to offer free beer and wine on short flights in Economy Class.Cheers, Air Canada.
