Air Canada Introduces New Onboard Food and Beverage, Entertainment, and App Options

Air Canada announced several new food and beverage offerings today along with a new partnership with Mattel to add all of its children’s programming onboard. The Canadian carrier has also updated its app with more features to add convenience and greater usability.

New Menu Items

Air Canada is introducing several new food and beverage options. These include:

  • Earth’s Own oat milk (a non-dairy milk alternative)
  • Blue Moon Belgian White, Hop Valley IPA, and Vizzy Strawberry Orange Mimosa Hard Seltzer
  • Rosé from Provence, France and Aperol Spritz (available in Air Canada’s Signature Class on international flights)
  • Butter Chicken with Rice Pilaf and Cauliflower Pea Masala are new menu options available for Premium Economy and Economy customers on select flights

Children’s Programming From Mattel

Skytrax named Air Canada the “Most Family Friendly Airline” and it continues to add to its offerings. It will be the only Canadian airline to offer some of the most popular kids’ in-flight entertainment through a partnership with Mattel. The entire suite of shows and movies including Hot Wheels in the CityThomas and Friends: Learning with Thomas, and Barbie’s vlog will add dozens of hours of additional kids’ content.

Air Canada Mobile App

New App Features

The latest updates to both the Apple App Store and Google Play versions of the Air Canada App have some new features including:

  • Mobile boarding passes with seamless updates
  • Aeroplan members’ passport details linked to their profile
  • Integrated maps of key Air Canada and Star Alliance airports for easier navigation
  • The ability to preorder meals on select international flights departing Canada for Air Canada Signature Class and Premium Economy customers

All of these new offerings are nice additions for Air Canada passengers.

Anthony’s Take: My husband will be jealous that Air Canada passengers will be getting Aperol Spritzes. These are some good additions to the onboard offerings.
