Aer Lingus announced today that it’s refreshing its onboard menus across cabins and debuting new amenity kits in Business Class. The Irish carrier has been a Skytrax 4-star airline since 2016 and it looks to keep improving the passenger experience.

Refreshed Business Class Dining and Amenity Kits

Customers flying in Aer Lingus’ Business Class will soon enjoy a new seasonal spring menu. On westbound flights, the menu will include smoked salmon with crisp samphire in a citrusy dressing and skin-on thyme and parsley chicken supreme. Dessert options will include a lemon cream mousse dome or a local Irish cheeseboard. Korean BBQ popcorn chicken on a salad of Asian black rice is being added as a light bite.

Aer Lingus’ new Business Class amenity kits include products from natural skincare brand Jo Browne Ireland. The kit includes a pen, earplugs, and a dental kit pouch made from eco-friendly materials as well as Jo Browne’s Signature Blend Lip Balm and Hydrating Moisturizer (these are all packaged in 100% sugarcane tubes). A 3D-molded eye mask and socks are also included.

Enhancements Across Cabins

Customers flying in Aer Lingus’ Economy Class will enjoy complimentary meals and snacks on transatlantic flights as well as a choice of Vinca organic red or white wine, beer, soft drinks or juice with their meals. Aer Lingus also offers more than 1,300 pieces of content through its onboard entertainment system including games, new release movies, and TV box sets. Disney+ favorites like Loki (Season 1), The Mandalorian (Season 1), and Ms. Marvel are also available.

Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer, said:

At Aer Lingus, we are dedicated to providing the most comfortable experience for our customers as they fly across the Atlantic. Our exceptional inflight offering includes complimentary food and drink, and customers are welcome to enjoy an extensive selection of inflight entertainment options. Those flying in our Business Class cabin will experience added comfort and space while onboard with us.

As a Skytrax 4-star airline, Aer Lingus is continuously investing in enhancements to our inflight offering. By listening to valued feedback from our customers, we’ve introduced new additions that we know will elevate their journeys.”

Anthony’s Take: Aer Lingus is adding some nice touches for passengers across cabins. The new Business Class light bites sound particularly good to me.

Sounds nice. I might go easy on the use of the word “Enhancements” though given that that’s so frequently used as a code word for making things worse for guests/passengers.
