Hilton Hotels has opened its 22nd brand today with the 661-room Tempo by Hilton Times Square. Located in the new, 46-story tower, TSX Broadway, the hotel joins retail, experiential, and the Palace Theater in this new destination within Times Square.
This new lifestyle brand mixes Hotel expansive views of Times Square, a cocktail lounge with an outdoor terrace, a fitness center, and signature Tempo by Hilton Wellness Rooms featuring Peloton bikes. I love that Tempo has Pelotons as I miss mine when I’m traveling.
Matt Schuyler, Hilton’s Chief Brand Officer, said:
Tempo by Hilton speaks to how we innovate our brands at Hilton each and every day. From rooms designed to cater to our guests’ well-being, to an array of culinary offerings designed for the health-conscious traveler, Tempo by Hilton ensures an expanded wellness experience for our guests and reflects the ongoing growth of our lifestyle brands that are reshaping the traditional hotel experience. With incredible entertainment and retail spaces from TSX Broadway and an immersion in the heart and culture of Times Square, this hotel truly serves as a destination unto itself.”
The Tempo by Hilton Times Square will soon have Motto by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton, and Hampton by Hilton opening in Times Square this summer. Hilton will add almost 2,000 rooms to its portfolio in Times Square.
Anthony’s Take: I’m not sure why Hilton needs another brand, but I do like that this one has Peloton bikes. Times Square is bouncing back post-pandemic and all of these new hotels will surely help fuel that further.

Thinking of using my free night from Aspire card here in a couple of weeks. I plan to call to find out if restaurant is open, because if it’s not, I will lose out on my Diamond benefit and thus would choose another property. By the way, since this is the first Tempo brand hotel, there is nowhere online to check how much that benefit would be.
If you do, please report back on your experience.
