JetBlue announced continued growth at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) today with the expansion of service on several popular routes while further strengthening its position as the airport’s largest airline.
The airline is increasing frequencies on four routes while converting one seasonal service into daily year-round flights. These will give travelers more consistent connections between South Florida and key destinations across the United States and Latin America.
JetBlue’s limited spring break flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) will become a daily year-round route. Previously offered only seasonally, the route will now provide consistent nonstop service connecting Northeast Florida with JetBlue’s South Florida focus city beginning June 18th.

JetBlue is also boosting service on three additional routes from Fort Lauderdale. These include:
- Cartagena’s Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG) (will increase to daily year-round service; up from 4x weekly on June 11th)
- Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) (will expand from 1x daily to 2x daily year-round on June 18th)
- Tampa International Airport (TPA) (service is doubling from 1x daily to 2x daily on June 18th)
Fort Lauderdale holds special significance for JetBlue. It was the airline’s first destination when the company launched operations 26 years ago. The airport continues to play a major role in the airline’s network. Over the past year alone, JetBlue has added 20 additional destinations from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Today, the airline operates more departures than any other carrier at the airport and connects South Florida to dozens of nonstop destinations throughout the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Anthony’s Take: JetBlue is still working to get its footing and figure out what’s next. It’s smart to focus on key leisure routes and its South Florida hub.
