Hyatt is celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Park Hyatt brand in 2025, marking more than four decades of redefining luxury hospitality since the opening of Park Hyatt Chicago (review here) in 1980. Park Hyatt continues to expand into iconic destinations worldwide while offering personal and elevated guest experiences.

To commemorate this milestone, Park Hyatt has launched Luxury is Personal, its first global marketing campaign in over five years. The campaign highlights how every detail (from design and cuisine to service and art) is meticulously orchestrated to create a seamless, sensory-rich experience. Each Park Hyatt stay is designed to reflect the individual guest with touches like curated scents, refined spaces, and intuitive service. This campaign reinforces the brand’s philosophy that true luxury is not about excess, but about meaningful, personalized moments.

Park Hyatt continues its rapid growth across Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Americas by opening properties in destinations that reflect the brand’s focus on cultural richness and architectural excellence. These new and upcoming hotels embody the brand’s promise of understated elegance, exceptional service, and locally inspired design.

Europe, Africa & Middle East (EAME)

  • Park Hyatt Marrakech (Opened July 2024)
  • Park Hyatt London River Thames (Opened October 2024)
  • Park Hyatt Johannesburg (Opened July 2025)
  • Park Hyatt Taormina (Opening 2027) (I’m excited about this one)

Asia Pacific (ASPAC)

  • Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur (Opened August 2025)
  • Park Hyatt Tokyo (Reopening December 2025)
  • Park Hyatt Phu Quoc, Vietnam (Opening Q2 2026)

The Americas

  • Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol (Opening Late 2025)
  • Park Hyatt Cancun (Opening 2026)
  • Park Hyatt Mexico City (Opening 2026)
  • Park Hyatt Vancouver (Opening 2026)

Hyatt’s luxury portfolio has grown 146% since 2017, including brands like Park Hyatt, Alila, and The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, which features independent, one-of-a-kind luxury properties. This growth reflects the strong demand from travelers seeking curated, meaningful experiences.

Park Hyatt continues to set itself apart by focusing on subtle refinement and personalized luxury. As the brand enters its next chapter, these openings reaffirm its role as a leader in global luxury hospitality.

Anthony’s Take: The Park Hyatt and Andaz brands are my favorites in the Hyatt portfolio. I know that a Park Hyatt will deliver luxury without being over the top. It’s tasteful and predictable, which is great in my opinion.
