Cathay Pacific is introducing a new dining offering in Business Class called “Chinese Classics.” This menu of eight dishes complements its “Hong Kong Flavors” and “International Favorites” offerings already served on board. The complete rollout of the eight new regional cuisines is expected in 2026.
The Eight Great Cuisines of China embody the diversity and traditions of Chinese food. The menu encompasses dishes from Sichuan, Fujian, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangdong, Anhui, and Hunan. Dishes from Fujian and Jiangsu will begin the rollout with others following over the coming months.
The “Hong Kong Flavors” menu is available across all Cathay Pacific cabins and in select lounges. Cathay has invested more than HK$100 billion into its fleet, cabin products, lounges, and digital innovations. This goes way beyond dining, but the food looks incredible.
Cathay Pacific’s Director of Customer Travel, Erica Peng, said:
Our ‘Chinese Classics’ menu complements our already popular ‘Hong Kong Flavors’ and ‘International Favorites’ options, showcasing rich Chinese cultural heritage to all our customers. These dining offerings are meticulously crafted, vibrant in both flavor and presentation. We hope that these iconic dishes can offer our customers a taste of home and warm their hearts whenever, wherever they fly with us.”
Anthony’s Take: Chinese food is as regionally diverse as Italian, Indian, and many other cuisines. This menu is exciting and I wish I flew Cathay Pacific more often.
