Scandinavian Airlines’ (SAS) joined SkyTeam on September 1st (more here). The founding member airline of Star Alliance said goodbye to its partners and is now integrated with SkyTeam. To celebrate its membership in this alliance, it’s running a promo to incent EuroBonus members to fly SkyTeam airlines with the ability to earn up to one million points.

SkyTeam SAS Contest

The crazy part of this promo is that the one million points are not limited to one winner. Any EuroBonus member can earn them as long as they fly 15 SkyTeam member airlines between yesterday and December 31st. This is quite a task and luckily there are smaller prizes including 10,000 bonus points for flying five members and 100,000 for flying 10 members.

SkyTeam 2024

There are 20 members of SkyTeam including SAS. For this offer, only the following count: Aerolineas Argentinas, AeroMexico, Air Europa, Air France, China Airlines, China Eastern, Delta Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, SAS, Saudia, TAROM, Vietnam Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and Xiamen AIR. There is no love for ITA Airways or MEA in this promo.

Terms & Conditions:

  • For the flight to count, EuroBonus points must be earned on or used to pay for the flight. SkyTeam airlines that are available are found at SAS website.
  • You will be rewarded Bonus points (not Level points).
  • In case of retroactive registration of a flight, it has to be submitted by December 20, 2024.
  • Both regular and award trips (paid with points) count.
  • It is the operating carrier that counts.
  • If you book a flight where one segment is with e.g. SAS and the other with e.g. Delta, it counts as two partners for the challenge.
  • You will be notified of the outcome in January 2025.
  • You can participate only once, and you will be notified that points have been credited after the campaign.
  • SAS employees are not eligible to participate.
  • EuroBonus reserves the right to deny point rewards in case of misuse.
  • If you are not able to add your EuroBonus number into the booking, please ask the check in staff for help.

Anthony’s Take: I wish I had the time to try to earn the one million points. What a fun way to celebrate joining SkyTeam.
