Yesterday, I wrote about New Pacific Airlines. It is the rebrand of another recent carrier, Northern Pacific Airlines. I’ve written about them before (here and here). The carrier was operating flights between Ontario International Airport (ONT) and Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), Nashville International Airport (BNA), and Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). First it cut Las Vegas, then Reno was chopped, and now Nashville has been removed from the schedule after April 5th. This leaves no regular routes available for sale.
New Pacific Airlines will suspend all scheduled flights next week.
After canceling Reno (RNO), the airline will also end its remaining route, Ontario (ONT) to Nashville (BNA), after April 5.

What’s next for the airline remains unclear. When it launched, the airline wanted to fly to Asia from Anchorage’s Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). It planned to serve Osaka, Tokyo, and Seoul. This never materialized and it started flying to leisure destinations in the United States from Ontario International Airport (ONT). Will the carrier pivot to new routes? Does it somehow have an international plan?
Anthony’s Take: Who knows what’s next for New Pacific Airlines. It’s been interesting to see it test flights from Ontario, but nothing has seemed to work. It looks like it will shift to chartered flights, but no formal announcement has been made.
