I took a quick trip to NJ to visit my mom this week, but there was lots of news around changes at Southwest, the next Delta One® Lounge, route additions and cuts, as well as Hurricane Helene and the storm’s effect on travel.

Delta SAS

Airlines

This week Delta and SAS signed a codeshare agreement, Boeing’s machinist strike continued, Salt Lake City got its first transpacific flight in over a decade, and SkyTeam is getting a non-airline partner.

Hyatt Regency Denver 3

Hotels

Hilton lets you stay like Paris, Hyatt announced more than 20 new luxury hotels, and my review of the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center.

Delta One JFK 14

Lounges

The first lounge opens at Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW), a cursing agent in the Air Canada lounge, and Delta’s second Delta One® Lounge is opening soon at LAX.

Chase Travel

Destinations & Travel News

A hurricane hit Florida and Chase is launching a travel magazine.

Spirit Argument

Passengers Behaving Badly

A passenger harasses another while deplaning and there wasn’t much else to report. People actually behaved this week!
