Last week, I started something new. Well, new for The Bulkhead Seat at least. I began creating weekly recaps to encapsulate all of the news, reviews, offers, and more covered on this site. I’ve seen this done by many other blogs that I admire and thought that it was time that I joined the party. I was in Corfu (Greece) and Sarande (Albania) this week and had some fun in the sun. I’ve already started sharing flight, lounge, and hotel reviews and will have more over the next week or so. Have a great weekend!

Singapore IAH-MAN 4

Airlines

This week saw Delta rolling out free Wi-Fi on international flights, two passengers break ankles in flight (on separate flights), Avelo and Breeze go head to head, my review of a Singapore Airlines flight, and more.

Domes Miramare Corfu 53

Hotels

IHG rolled out bright yellow, tennis-themed suites for the US Open, a helicopter crashed into an Australian hotel, and Hilton rolled out a new global promotion. Plus, my reviews of the Radisson Blu, Manchester Airport and Domes Miramare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Corfu. And, Marriott opened its 9,000th hotel with the St. Regis Longboat Key (I want to stay there).

UA Polaris IAH 54

Lounges

Check out my review of the Escape Lounge in Manchester and the Polaris Lounge in Houston, plus Capital One is working on keeping crowds down and American Express is planning a new lounge in Salt Lake City.

PDX Main Terminal

Destinations & Travel News

Perks for fans at the US Open from American Express, a sweet Rice Krispies Treats®’ suite, Portland’s new terminal, and which airports rack up the most complaints made the blog this week.

Drunk Brit

Passengers Behaving Badly

My experience with boorish, drunk holidaymakers on Ryanair, a lesbian banned from American Airlines for having sex with a man in flight, and a moron who wasted tons of good lobster after being scolded for acting out in a Las Vegas buffet are all highlights this week.

Anthony’s Take: I hope that you enjoyed reading all the news, reviews, and travel-related items that caught my eye this week. Thanks for your continued support of The Bulkhead Seat.
