In December, I wrote about Hyatt’s announcement that it was entering into a long-term licensing agreement with The Venetian Las Vegas and its sister property, The Palazzo. Starting today, World of Hyatt® members will see benefits when staying at these properties.

The properties are now bookable through all of Hyatt’s channels, including Hyatt.com and the World of Hyatt® mobile app. Members can earn and redeem points for stays at these hotels. World of Hyatt® members will see the following benefits:

  • 5x Base Points per eligible $1 spent on rooms and resort fees and at 20+ participating restaurants and bars, select retail locations at The Venetian and The Palazzo when charged to guest rooms (alcohol, taxes, and other exclusions apply)
  • 4x Bonus Points per eligible $1 for World of Hyatt® Credit Cardmembers on eligible spend when charged to guest rooms
  • Standard tier Bonus Points for elite tier members on eligible room rates and resort fees and eligible spend at participating restaurants and bars, and select retail locations at The Venetian and The Palazzo when charged to your room
  • Credit toward earning tier status and Milestone Rewards
  • Redeem points for free nights at The Venetian and The Palazzo as well as 1,350+ Hyatt hotels globally
  • On-property benefits for elite members from The Venetian Resort, like Invited Guest check-in; late checkout and early check-in (pending availability), suite upgrades (pending availability); and discounts on gondola rides and select retail locations.

The Venetian’s suites are the largest on the Las Vegas Strip and the hotel recently underwent a $1.5 billion renovation. Guests can drift along the Grand Canal on a gondola and feel like they’re almost in Venice. The two hotels also offer award-winning dining from culinary legends like Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller, and Tetsuya Wakuda. I love many of the restaurants located here and have dined at TAO, CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Bazaar Meat by José Andrés, LAVO, and Yardbird many times.

Patrick Nichols, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, said:

Our legendary resort continues to lead the way on the Strip, setting the benchmark for innovation, luxury, and unforgettable guest experiences. From unveiling reimagined suites and collaborating with world-renowned chefs to delivering unparalleled entertainment, we have consistently stayed at the forefront of this ever-evolving destination. As we embrace a new era for The Venetian Resort, this alliance with World of Hyatt enables us to expand our reach and connect with new audiences.”

Laurie Blair, Vice President of Global Marketing at Hyatt, added:

We believe in the transformative powers of travel, and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas seamlessly delivers on this with memorable stays and out-of-this-world experiences that immerse travelers in the here and now. We heard from our members that Las Vegas is one of the top destinations they’d like to visit in the next few years, thanks to its world-class entertainment and unique experiences. We look forward to offering our members more enriching travel experiences in this in-demand market, from exclusive culinary offerings to out-of-this-world performances at The Venetian Resort and at the Sphere at the Venetian.”

Redeeming World of Hyatt® points at The Venetian or The Palazzo is costly. Like Mr & Mrs Smith, these are not based on specific award categories and are dynamically priced based on the prevailing cash rates. Members should also not expect benefits if they do not book their stays through Hyatt.

Anthony’s Take: It’s exciting to see The Venetian and The Palazzo as new Hyatt partners. I am going to stay and earn points as well as elite night credits. I do not seeing myself redeeming points as the value is not there.
