A woman died yesterday morning at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) after getting caught in the baggage carousel. The woman was discovered around 7:45 AM yesterday while an employee was inspecting the baggage handling area in Terminal 5.
Fox News reports that the unidentified woman (age 57) entered the area around 2:30 AM and got caught in the conveyor belt system that is used to move baggage. Security footage shows her entering the area, but does not capture how she died. The area was declared a crime scene while being investigated. Chicago Police are seeking answers and have not released the woman’s identity.
Terminal 5 is home to Aeromexico, Air France, Air India, Air Serbia, Austrian Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Copa Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, Etihad Airways, EVA Air, Finnair, Frontier Airlines, Iberia, Iceland Air, Japan Airlines, KLM, Korean Air, LOT, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, SAS, Southwest, Sun Country, SWISS, TAP Portugal, Turkish Airlines, Viva Aerobus, Volaris, and WestJet. It is unknown if the woman was a passenger of one of these airlines or was trying to just sneak into the airport. It has been confirmed that she was not an employee.
Anthony’s Take: This is sad, but makes you wonder why she was trying to get into the baggage claim secure area in the first place. We’ll have to wait for some answers here.

What do you think she saw that made them have to kill her?
