A Naperville woman has been charged in the shooting death of a man inside the Hilton Chicago/Oakbrook Suites on Saturday night. Oakbrook Terrace police responded to the incident, but unfortunately the man was pronounced dead at the hospital upon arrival.
CBS News Chicago is reporting that Latrice Phillips, 51, is charged with first-degree murder around the death of 33-year-old, Calvin Truitt. Oakbrook Terrace responded to the call around 8:15 PM on December 2nd. Phillips allegedly got into an argument with several people at the hotel pool, including Pruitt. She then reportedly followed the group to the 7th floor. A fight broke out and Phillips allegedly fired three shots, with two of them hitting Pruitt in the back and side.
After the incident, Phillips returned to her room. She was arrested shortly after and police discovered the 9mm handgun in a waistband holster she was wearing.
