The Westin Flushing LaGuardia Airport opened in Queens, NY this week. The 13-story, mixed-use development offers a 244-room, five-star hotel with 48 luxury condominiums on the upper floors. This Westin is defining itself as “Queens’ first five-star hotel.”
Amenities include an indoor pool, a fitness center, Hinoki Bistro (for sushi and oysters), more than 5,000 square feet of public space on the first floor, two conference rooms, and a grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 300 guests. The Westin is located near LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and offers convenient access to Flushing Meadows Corona Park and the Museum of the Moving Image.
Floors 10-13 house the Northern Residences. These luxury condominiums feature high-end finishes, expansive layouts, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of the city skyline. Residents of Northern Residences are granted access to the hotel’s amenities and executive suite services. At present, only three residences remain available for sale at Northern Residences, including one 1-bedroom and two 2-bedroom apartments. More information can be found here.
Room rates vary between $237 and $773 plus taxes and fees per night. If you’re looking to redeem Marriott Bonvoy® points here, the nightly cost ranges from 30,000 to 54,000 for a standard room, per night.
Anthony’s Take: It’s always good to have a new choice near the airport. New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) needs some new hotels and I’m happy to see this one open.
