Virgin Atlantic has revealed a series of upgrades to its flagship Clubhouse lounge at London Heathrow Airport (LHR). The airline is introducing new spaces and amenities aimed at elevating the pre-flight experience for premium travelers. The refreshed lounge, located in Terminal 3, marks a shift toward a more modern, wellness-focused design while maintaining the airline’s signature flair and distinctly British character.
Long regarded as one of the best Business Class lounges in the world, the Heathrow Clubhouse had begun to feel dated in recent years. The latest updates bring a more contemporary feel, blending luxury, comfort, and functionality. The lounge serves Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class passengers as well as Delta One® customers and select elite status holders.
One of the most notable additions is the introduction of a VIP-only Royal Box, an exclusive, invitation-only space first seen at the airline’s Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) lounge. The private area features runway views and curated experiences designed to create a more intimate, high-end environment.
The lounge’s cinema has also been reimagined, drawing inspiration from London’s private members’ clubs and Soho screening rooms. The updated space includes enhanced seating, integrated charging, and a more immersive viewing experience.
For travelers needing a quieter space, Virgin Atlantic has introduced dedicated work pods. These private areas are styled as a nod to the airline’s music heritage and offer a distraction-free environment for productivity.
At the same time, the lounge has expanded its focus on wellness. Temporary pop-up offerings include immersive light therapy and meditation sessions along with spa treatments such as massages, facials, and manicures.
The updated lounge also features a redesigned gallery space that highlights panoramic runway views while incorporating subtle references to London’s culture and transport heritage. Virgin Atlantic has retained its signature personality throughout the redesign, balancing playful elements with a more refined and modern aesthetic.
