Virgin Atlantic announced an updated timeline for its latest Clubhouse today. The lounge is expected to open in Q1 2025 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The Clubhouse will be in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) on the sixth floor. The space used to house the Etihad lounge and it measures 4,401 square feet. This space was closed after Etihad pulled out of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). It will offer spaces to relax, work, and dine, as well as showers and changing facilities. The airline’s signature drink, the Virgin Redhead, will be served at the expansive cocktail bar.

Virgin will pay homage to the City of Angels with local artwork and mood lighting to mimic the California sunset. The lighting has been designed with pre-sleep rituals in mind and will optimize customers’ circadian rhythms for sleeping while in flight. Wireless charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and lots of power outlets will keep guests devices charged. Individual pods will also be available for taking calls privately.

Corneel Koster, Chief Customer & Operating Officer, Virgin Atlantic, said:

We’re thrilled to bring our award-winning Clubhouse to the vibrant, entertainment capital of Los Angeles, where we know business and leisure travelers alike will enjoy our experience before their flight across the pond. Our latest Clubhouse will have something special for every customer, from signature dishes to British designer finishes, plus some fun surprises you’d only expect from Virgin Atlantic. And we know our amazing teams will bring the experience to life brilliantly.”

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will be the fourth location in the United States. It joins lounges in New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

Access will be granted to passengers flying in Upper Class on Virgin Atlantic (one guest allowed), Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold members traveling internationally on Virgin Atlantic or Delta Air Lines (one guest allowed), Delta One® passengers, and SkyTeam Elite Plus members (one guest allowed).

Anthony’s Take: The renderings of this lounge look great and it’s nice that Virgin Atlantic passengers (and partners) will have a new space to work and relax at LAX.

Will this be available to other SkyTeam Business Class or elite passengers? The only ST lounge at the Tom Bradley terminal is the Korean Air one and it’s lousy. The good Delta lounge in T2/T3 is just too long of a walk!

Not sure on other SkyTeam flights in Biz, I would assume so. Elites with SkyTeam Elite Plus will have access.
