United Airlines does a great job in building excitement for its new international route announcements. The carrier has made adding routes a fun guessing game with social media posts that offer clues as to where it will fly next. United has by far the best and most diverse international route network of any US carrier and it just keeps getting better.

Today, United released some clues in the post above. These are all using morse code, but it’s hard to decipher what is being shown (not that I understand Morse Code anyway). Speculation on the post, on FlyerTalk, and elsewhere has led to these guesses:

  • Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport (BRI) (I would love this one)
  • Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport (DBV)
  • Glasgow Airport (GLA)
  • Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL)
  • Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL)
  • Oslo Airport (OSL)

I’m curious to see how many (if any) of these are correct tomorrow.

Anthony’s Take: I give United credit for always making its route announcements fun. I can’t wait to see what new lines are added to the map tomorrow.
