In October 2024, United Airlines announced some far-flung destinations. One of those was Greenland’s Nuuk Airport (GOH). Flights began on June 14th from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). The route ends for the season on September 23rd, but the good news is that it’s coming back next summer.
United’s Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances, Patrick Quayle, shared the news on Instagram. Per his post, “United will be returning to this gem of the Arctic in 2026.” Prior to United adding this flight, travelers had to connect in Iceland or Europe (and backtrack).
Anthony’s Take: I’ve said it many times. United has by far the coolest route map of any US airline. I’m happy that this flight is returning as it is definitely on my list.
