United Airlines has tweeted that it will be dropping new routes tomorrow at 8:30 AM EST. There aren’t many clues in the 10-second video United posted, so anyone’s guess is possible.

I give United a lot of credit for always making its big route announcements fun. Past social media posts have served as scavenger hunts of sorts to promote new routes. Here are the clues I see:
- There is a passport, so I’m guessing this will be an announcement of an international route or routes
- The only discernible airport is LAX, so they’re likely flying from there
- @waikgt is based in Guatemala
- Many of the other accounts do not exist
We might see flights from LAX or not. Guatemala doesn’t seem likely. Posters on Flyertalk think LAX-BKK, LAX-NRT, LAX-BNE, and others. I guess we need to wait until tomorrow to find out.
Anthony’s Take: United does a great job with building suspense and has built one of the most impressive international route networks. I look forward to seeing what is announced tomorrow.

Denpasar Airport has recently said a US carrier was awaiting approval for direct flights from the US to Denpasar.
That would be interesting. I’ve wanted to go to Bali for some time.
