T’way Air is a South Korean low-cost carrier based in Seoul. It updated its schedules this week to include its first-ever North American route. The new route will connect Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) with Vancouver International Airport (YVR) 4x weekly when it launches on July 12th.

The news was first broken by @aeroroutes on X. The route will be operated with an Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The aircraft is outfitted with 347 seats including 12 in Business Class. Complimentary in-flight meals should be offered to both Business and Economy Class passengers on this route.

T’way Airlines will be the fourth airline to connect South Korea and North America. Air Premia, Asiana, and Korean Air currently fly to multiple cities. Asiana and Korean Air will soon be merged and this presents a good opportunity for T’way to join the fray.

Anthony’s Take: Let’s see if T’way tries to enter the United States. If it does, I’d guess that it would try to add service at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), or Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
