Delta Air Lines and Italian luxury brand Missoni have partnered for the airline’s amenity kits since last year. Delta also brought Missoni accessories into the design of its gorgeous Delta One® Lounges. The continued rollout included bedding from the fashion house to be added to the in-flight amenities offered on long-haul Delta One® flights. It’s now being reported that the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.

The new bedding includes a duvet, mattress pad, and pillow. This was first announced in June 2024 and was expected to be on aircraft across the fleet in May. Aviation watchdog, @JonNYC, reported that this is now being pushed to the second half of 2025 at the earliest.

Delta lowered its financial guidance for the year and said that it would be “actively managing costs and capital expenditures.” This seems to be one that Delta is pushing off to save some cash. Domestic travel demand is dwindling, but premium international remains strong. I guess Delta feels that what it currently offers is good enough for now.

Delta has recently also said that its not taking on aircraft where it has to pay a tariff (Airbus). The Atlanta-based carrier is certainly not going to be the only one trying to delay deliveries if there is a steep tax tied to it.

Anthony’s Take: While not a big issue in the grand scheme of things, this could be prescriptive of other enhancements and changes that have been announced by the airlines. United’s CEO seems to have cozied up to Trump and has said he supports the tariffs. Let’s see how that plays out longer term.
