United Airlines is having another flash award sale. This time one-way tickets to Asia are only 35,000 MileagePlus miles. This deal is only available for United® Chase cardmembers.
Today only, members can book flights to one of the following destinations for 35,000 miles each way (plus taxes and fees starting at $39.00):
- Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)
- Osaka Kansai International Airport (KIX)
- Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND)
- Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT)
- Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)
Travel must take place by February 25th. United cardmembers save on award travel to Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT), Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND), Osaka Kansai International Airport (KIX), Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), or Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). Taxes and government-imposed fees for award travel from the US to NRT start at $51.80 round-trip, HND start at $50.30 round-trip, KIX start at $51.40 round-trip, HKG start at $66.40 round-trip, or TPE start at $39.00 roundtrip. Taxes and fees may vary with exchange rate. This offer pricing applies only to the Primary Cardmember. This promotion applies to new award bookings, there may be blackout dates on some routes, and there are no limits to the number of tickets that may be booked.
Anthony’s Take: This is a good deal if you don’t mind sitting in Economy for these long flights. I’d try to find a flight with PN upgrade space and a generous friend with Global Services® status to upgrade me if I was considering this deal.
Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: The United℠ Explorer Card is the best card for regular United flyers and one of the two United cards I hold. The annual fee is waived the first year, then it’s $95. With it, you get 2 miles per $1 spent on dining, hotel stays, and United purchases; 1 mile per $1 spent on all other qualifying purchases. Other benefits include: upgrades on award tickets for Premier® members (a benefit not offered to anyone else other than GS members), a free checked bag on every flight, a 25% statement credit on purchases made onboard (think Wi-Fi or snacks), two United Club℠ passes (annually) and priority boarding with Group 2. Terms apply. Learn more.
