We spent the past two days staying at the Hyatt Union Square New York and taking in the sights, sounds, and tastes of New York City. We lived and worked here for many years and it always feels good to be back here. Christmastime is special and unlike anywhere else in the world. If you have the chance, go to New York and experience all that the holidays bring to the city.
The Hyatt Union Square New York is all decked out for Christmas. I loved the tree in the lobby and will have my full review of the hotel written soon.
It’s touristy, but I love to look at all of the retailers windows along 5th Avenue. Bergdorf Goodman has my favorites.
The scaffolding surrounding the Louis Vuitton store is incredible.
There is just something about the lights that feels so special.
Rockefeller Center will always be iconic.
Radio City Music Hall is another must. The Rockettes continue to be great after decades.
I used to work near Bryant Park and love the ice skating and holiday shops. It was a bit cold yesterday.
No matter where you go, there is holiday magic.
Anthony’s Take: New York City at Christmastime brings back memories and a sense of holiday for me. New York will always have a piece of my heart and especially around the holidays.

Ummmm every city in Europe is better than NY at Christmas
I love Europe at Christmastime and have been to dozens of Christmas markets there. I will argue that there is still something special in NYC.
Louis Vuitton light show at night blew my mind. Yup NYC at Christmas time is incredible. Better than Europe, but then I was born in NY. Best show on Broadway: “Oh Mary”. OMG, hysterical.
