I wrote about Neos S.p.A. back in June. This Italian airline is headquartered in Lombardy. It offers 73 scheduled domestic, European, and intercontinental destinations on its fleet of Boeing 737 Next Generation, 737 MAX, and Boeing 787 aircraft. I had never heard of this carrier, but it launched nonstop flights between Palermo Airport (PMO) and New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) this past summer. Next year, it will be back with nonstop flights to Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport (BRI).
Bari is the largest city in the region of Puglia. This is the heel of Italy’s boot and it’s filled with amazing food (I am still craving spaghetti all’assassina, beautiful beaches, and charming towns to explore. It’s not on many US travelers radar when it comes to visiting Italy as many flock to Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, and the Amalfi Coast.
Bari, Italy (BRI) gains nonstop flights to the United States.
Neos announces it will begin flying from New York (JFK) to Bari (BRI) starting June 3, 2025 with a 1x weekly Boeing 787-9:

Neos will begin flying between New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport (BRI) on June 3rd. The flights will occur once weekly using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 355 to 359 seats (with 291 to 295 in Economy Class, 36 in Economy Extra Plus (extra legroom) and 28 in Premium Economy. Tickets include meals and baggage (both checked and carry-on).
Anthony’s Take: It’s great that this region is becoming so much more accessible. Puglia is beautiful and a place that I would gladly go back to in the future. Kudos to Neos for making it easy.
