Last month, I wrote about Hilton’s 25th brand: Outset Collection by Hilton. This is the eighth addition to its growing Lifestyle portfolio and expands Hilton’s presence in one of hospitality’s fastest-growing segments while catering to travelers seeking boutique-style hotels with authentic local character and independent design. The first two properties have just started to accept reservations.

Like Marriott’s Autograph Collection or Design Hotels and Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, Outset Collection is designed to meet the needs of guests looking for individually inspired stays while still enjoying the trust, service, and global reach of Hilton. This is Hilton’s third conversion brand with Curio Collection and Tapestry Collection rounding out the trio.

A Future Outset Collection by Hilton hotel in Moab

Outset Collection has more than 60 hotels in development with the potential to have more than 500 hotels across the United States and Canada. The first two locations include:

  • Slackline Moab, Outset Collection by Hilton (Opening November 19th): Framed by Utah’s iconic red rocks, Slackline Moab blends laid-back comfort with adventurous spirit. The property features modern rooms, an on-site café, and a cozy firepit. The hotel is perfect for hikers, bikers, and stargazers. Award nights range from 35,000 to 70,000 Hilton Honors points per night.
  • ACME Hotel Chicago, Outset Collection by Hilton (Opening in December): In Chicago’s River North neighborhood, ACME Hotel Chicago offers artful interiors, local touches, and a lively bar and café. It’s built for travelers who crave personality and urban edge. Award nights range from 46,000 to 96,000 Hilton Honors points per night (with availability starting in February 2026).

Hilton developed Outset Collection with a focus on flexibility for owners and developers. The brand supports both new builds and conversions, which appeals to independent hoteliers seeking the benefits of Hilton’s scale, loyalty program, and operational expertise while maintaining creative freedom in design and amenities. This approach builds on the success of Hilton’s Curio Collection and Tapestry Collection, which together lead the US market in conversion growth. In the second quarter of 2025, conversion properties represented more than 33% of Hilton’s total openings.

Anthony’s Take: I love boutique hotels and I love earning points. This is a win-win and I look forward to seeing which properties join the Outset Collection.
