Back in February, I wrote about how Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) were entering into a partnership. This strategic partnership spelled the end of the Hyatt deal and sure enough that was also announced. Hilton has been working to incorporate many of the SLH properties into its systems and the first three have just come online.

Since 2018, I loved being able to book paid stays and redeem World of Hyatt points at Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) hotels. The partnership was seamless and it opened a world of boutique properties in areas where Hyatt had no footprint or limited options. I’m hoping that Hilton will offer the same great availability and options.

The first three available include:

  • Teranka in Formentera, Spain
  • Nobu Hotel Marbella in Marbella, Spain
  • Flemings Mayfair in London, England

Hilton Honors members will be able to earn and redeem points at SLH properties and benefits seem aligned with what Hilton offers at its own luxury properties (this was not the same for Hyatt as it offered all members a limited subset of benefits). When fully integrated there should be around 100 SLH properties available and the most expensive option will be around 150,000 Hilton Honors points. Here is what we can look forward to based on elite status:

  • Member: Guaranteed member discount, complimentary standard Wi-Fi, complimentary late checkout, bottled water or hydration per stay, no resort fees on reward stays
  • Silver: All of the above, plus 20% Elite Tier Bonus, and 5th standard reward night free
  • Gold: All of the above, plus 80% Elite Tier Bonus, complimentary breakfast (for two guests), and space-available upgrades
  • Diamond: All of the above, plus 100% Elite Tier Bonus

This is more generous than what was offered through World of Hyatt and I love that the 5th night is being included for free as well as the tiered earnings.

Anthony’s Take: I can’t wait for the rest of the participating properties to roll out in Hilton’s booking system. SLH has some fabulous offerings and this is so exciting.
