San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has been stepping up its lounge game lately. Last week, I wrote about the soon-to-open Alaska Airlines Lounge (the second largest of Alaska’s lounges) that’s coming to Harvey Milk Terminal 1. Now, The Club is planning to open the largest lounge that it operates in the same terminal tomorrow, June 26th.
The Club measures 12,000 square feet with seating for 249 guests. It will be open starting tomorrow with regular hours of operation running between 4:00 AM to 11:00 PM. It offers a nice selection of food and beverages, Wi-Fi, and a shower facility (bookable for $25). The new lounge looks to be the nicest that The Club operates out of the 20 it runs in the United States. I was not a fan of the location at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) when I visited (full review here).
In terms of food offerings, the menus can be found above. Santa Rosa-based Foley Family Wines has partnered with The Club to help curate the food and beverage offerings. I like that The Club is incorporating some local flair in the form of dishes associated with the Bay Area like sourdough and Ghirardelli Brownies.
Drink choices include a selection of cocktails, liquors, and wines as well as soft drinks.
The decor is warm and inviting. One cool feature is a microclimate fireplace that invokes thoughts of being by a campfire with water vapor and special lighting powering the device.
Other amenities include a wellness room with two fitness mirrors for workouts, three luminescence rooms with adjustable color temperature lighting, and a relaxation room.
Access is granted to those with Priority Pass memberships or by paying a $75 entry fee. This seems steep, but the offerings look elevated over many other Priority Pass lounges.
Anthony’s Take: I love the lounges where The Club has partnered with Chase and this one looks just as lovely. I look forward to checking it out the next time I’m in San Francisco.
