Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders now have access to even more lounges when they’re flying Air Canada or another Star Alliance carrier. Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounges are now welcoming cardmembers with same-day boarding passes.

Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge YYZ 2

Doctor of Credit first posted about this exciting new benefit. Air Canada operates 20 lounges across 16 airports worldwide. This list includes the following airports:

  • Calgary International Airport (YYC)
  • Edmonton International Airport (YEG)
  • Frankfurt Airport (FRA)
  • Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ)
  • London Heathrow Airport (LHR)
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
  • New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
  • Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW)
  • Regina International Airport (YQR)
  • San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
  • Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport (YXE)
  • St. John’s International Airport (YYT)
  • Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ)
  • Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) (my review here)
  • Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
  • Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (YWG)

Oddly, Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) is not currently included. Lounge access is subject to capacity controls. Guests cost $59, €59, or £59 depending upon location and local currency. The Chase Sapphire Reserve® already provides a Priority Pass membership and access to Chase’s own branded lounges (which are quite good).

Anthony’s Take: This is great news for cardholders and an additional benefit. The Platinum Card® from American Express provides access to some Lufthansa lounges, so this is a nice comparable benefit for this premium card.

Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: The Chase Sapphire Reserve® is a great premium card with lots of benefits including a $300 Annual Travel Credit as reimbursement for travel purchases charged to your card each account anniversary year; 1:1 point transfer to leading airline and hotel loyalty programs including Hyatt and United; 10
