I decided to pre-order a breakfast option I had never had before while flying from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Tampa International Airport (TPA) today. I chose the Southwest Tortilla Scramble, but I think United made me something else entirely as it looked nothing like the menu photo.

The Southwest Tortilla Scramble is described as coming with “pork chorizo and salsa verde.” Neither of those items were on my plate. Instead, I got an omelette of some sort that thankfully came with a packet of Cholula sauce to spice it up.

I ordered a cranberry juice to drink.

The tray came with a croissant, fresh fruit, and a Chobani yogurt. I did not eat the croissant or the yogurt, but the fruit was fresh and tasty. The dish itself (while not what I was expecting) had good flavors that were made even better with the Cholula sauce.
Anthony’s Take: I will try again on another breakfast flight and see what United gives me. The meals in domestic First Class are pretty good (a far cry from the garbage served in Polaris®, unfortunately).
