I flew from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) today to spend some time with family in New Jersey tomorrow. This flight gave me the opportunity to sample one of the last domestic First Class dishes that I have not yet tasted. The Grilled Chicken Breast was a tasty and filling choice and I still can’t get over how much the catering has improved on United Airlines.

\The Grilled Chicken Breast is both offered on board and also as a pre-order selection. It’s described as “grilled chicken breast with whole grain mustard sauce, broccoli, and paprika roasted red potatoes.” What I got was something different.

The meal started with snack mix and a beverage choice (ginger ale for me). I like that United and American offer warm nuts or snack mix. Delta’s Biscoff before a meal is odd.

The Grilled Chicken Breast was served with mixed vegetables instead of broccoli and mashed potatoes instead of paprika roasted red potatoes. The tray came with a green salad, a bread roll, and Magnolia Bakery’s Banana Pudding.

It’s great to be back to the original flavor as the last two types were way too sweet. This is delicious. The Red Velvet and Chocolatey Hazelnut Swirl need to stay buried.

Anthony’s Take: This meal was quite simple yet satisfying. I’ll definitely be ordering it again in the future. Maybe next time it will be prepared closer to the menu description.
