For my return flight from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Tampa International Airport (TPA) this week, I had several choices for breakfast on American Airlines. I went with the Charcuterie Plate and was quite pleased with what American delivered. This is a great assortment and I’d happily eat this on just about any flight.

The Charcuterie Plate is described as having “sliced prosciutto, eggs, [an] assortment of fine cheeses, [and] garnishes.” It was a full tray and a nice treat on a morning that I did not want a hot egg dish.

To start, I ordered a Cranberry Cocktail.

The tray was served with the items listed above, plus a bowl of fresh fruit, some crackers, and two mini scones. In my opinion, this was the perfect in-flight meal. Everything was fresh and delicious.

I found this to be far superior to United’s comparable offering (pictured above and reviewed here).
Anthony’s Take: American gets high marks for this one. I enjoyed all of the ingredients (all were high quality) and it was satisfying.

I’m confused. Your blog post says you liked it. You said it was fresh abs delicious. Then you conclude by saying it was pretty blah and would not eat again?
Thanks for catching that. I updated it. That’s what happens when I’m rushing and overwriting something. It was quite tasty.
For a minute there I thought your blog had been taken over by Gary Leff, the blogger who’s never missed a meal but complains about all things AA catering. lol.
