I am flying from New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) today. I was on a later Delta Air Lines flight, but switched this morning. Since I booked this one around two hours before departure, I did not pre-order a meal. Thankfully, I had choices and went with the. Belgian Style Waffles with Strawberry Compote.

The menu lists the dish as follows: Belgian Style Waffles with strawberry compote, maple butter, and chicken sausage.

I started with a Cran-Apple juice.

The tray included a yogurt parfait and a croissant. I did not eat the croissant, but enjoyed the waffles. They were a good mix of crispy and soft. The flavors were good, but the dish is pretty sweet. The sausage provided a salty counterbalance. I liked the yogurt parfait as well. This was one of the better breakfasts I have had recently.

Anthony’s Take: I would select this breakfast again. It was filling and tasty. Not for the health conscious, but I’m not sure any airplane meals are health food.
