Last month, I wrote about several new routes that TAP Air Portugal was launching. Today, the airline announced that it is making its seasonal service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS). The flights were originally scheduled to run from May 16th to October 25th, but this has now been extended to be year round.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to/from Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) runs 3x weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The flights are operated with Airbus A330-900neo aircraft with 34 Business Class, 96 Economy Xtra, and 168 Economy Class seats.
TAP celebrated its 80th anniversary of service in March, now flies to the following US cities:
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Miami International Airport (MIA)
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
- New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
- Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Anthony’s Take: It’s great to see this route doing well and changed to a year-round service. Lisbon is a wonderful city and there is lots to explore outside of it as well.
