Airport lounges offer all sorts of food and beverages. This varies wildly based on the lounge you’re visiting, whether it’s operated by an airline or a credit card issuer, where it is geographically, and more. One thing that is universally true is that food and beverages are to be enjoyed in the lounge and not removed from it (with the exception of limited grab-and-go offerings like those from Capital One). One junk food influencer is now advising her followers to break the rules and bring in containers to loot the buffets. This is not just tacky, it’s clearly against the rules.
@hellthyjunkfood visited the Delta Sky Club® at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) recently and showed viewers how to fill their bags with all sorts of food meant to be consumed on the premises.
Hopefully, Delta sees this video and bans her from future entry. The rules (posted above) are clear. Commenters called out this inappropriate behavior and agreed that this is not the way to score a future meal. If everyone did this, food costs would sky rocket and the lounge operators would cut way back.
Anthony’s Take: Do not do this when you visit lounges. I have called out people loading up their bags in the past. This is not a free-for-all and not meant to be a source for future meals and snacks after visiting. This is bad advice and should not be followed.
