Sun Country Airlines is a low-cost carrier based in Minneapolis with focus cities in Dallas and Las Vegas. The airline flies to 94 destinations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. It announced 11 destinations in October, added three more in February, and now has announced two new routes from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE).
Flights between Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) will run 2x weekly starting on December 26th and Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport (MBJ) begins on January 25th and runs 2x to 4x weekly. These flights will run seasonally. Sun Country is also bringing back daily flights between Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Cancún International Airport (CUN) (these begin on December 20th).
Sun Country’s 2025 winter season will also include more than 55 nonstop destinations from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). This includes 12 cities in Florida, nine in the Caribbean, and six in Mexico.
Grant Whitney, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at Sun Country, said:
Sun Country is continuing to grow our schedule from MSP to the warm destinations that are most popular with our customers. These are the places our customers love to visit with flights on more days of the week through the season. We’re building on what works well for us and our travelers.”
Sun Country Airlines flies 122 routes to 108 airports across the United States, Mexico, Central America, Canada, and the Caribbean. As its name implies, Sun Country flies from the Midwest to sunny destinations.
Anthony’s Take: Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is more convenient than O’Hare or Midway for folks in northern Illinois. It’s great to see Sun Country add some fun, nonstop destinations this winter.
