Some of these routes were considered seasonal or Spring Break routes and they may be brought back in the future. The Points Guy first shared this news with this quote from a Spirit spokesperson:
We routinely evaluate our network and make adjustments to support the company’s business strategy based on current market and operating conditions. As part of this process, we adjusted our upcoming schedule to focus on our strongest performing routes in alignment with our current fleet size.”
Anthony’s Take: Spirit is continuing to make adjustments that it needs to in order to keep its business rolling. Due to aircraft availability and demand, Spirit will continue to make changes as needed.
