Southwest Airlines is adding a dozen new routes this coming summer with Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) seeing most of the additions.
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
Five routes are being added to/from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) on June 5, 2025. Flights will be offered daily. These include:
- Long Beach Airport (LGB)
- Ontario International Airport (ONT)
- Portland International Airport (PDX)
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
- San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC)
Nashville International Airport (BNA)
Two routes are being added to the map to/from Nashville International Airport (BNA). These include:
- Portland International Airport (PDX) (1x weekly on Saturdays; starts on June 7th)
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO) (daily; starts on June 5th)
Other Routes
Five additional routes are also being added. These include:
- Charleston International Airport (CHS) to/from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) (1x weekly; starts on June 7th)
- Colorado Springs Airport (COS) to/from Cancun International Airport (CUN) (1x weekly on Saturdays; starts on June 7th)
- Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) to/from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) (daily; starts on June 5th)
- Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) to/from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) (1x weekly; starts on June 7th)
- Spokane International Airport (GEG) to/from Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) (5x weekly; starts on June 5th)
Anthony’s Take: Most of these routes do not currently have nonstop flights. Southwest is going through some changes and it’s good to see that it continues to update its route network.
