As I first wrote about last year, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is set to expand its global reach next spring with the launch of nonstop service to/from Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport (AMM). Starting in May 2026, Royal Jordanian Airlines  will begin year-round flights, operating 4x weekly.

The new route will be flown using Boeing 787-8 aircraft that offer 24 Business Class and 246 Economy Class seats. The route is already on sale. As a member of the oneworld® alliance, Royal Jordanian will be able to take advantage of American Airlines’ largest hub to offer connections across the United States and beyond. Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Qantas, and Qatar Airways are the other oneworld® airlines flying to/from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

Royal Jordanian currently flies to/from the following destinations in the US and Canada:

  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
  • Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)
  • Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL)
  • New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
  • Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ)
  • Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

The airline is also set to add flights to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) (in 2028) and Miami International Airport (MIA) (in 2026). Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) continues to grow as one of the busiest and most connected airports in the world. This new service builds on its role as a key global gateway and links Texas travelers headed on both leisure and business trips.

Anthony’s Take: Petra looks incredible and Jordan is one of the most progressive countries in the Middle East. I like that the options to get there are increasing.
