Qantas is rolling out a series of upgrades to its Airbus A380 First Class cabin. They’ll bring refined dining, amenities, and additional comfort to international travelers in the Australian carrier’s top cabin. Beginning in December and progressively expanding across the network, these enhancements form part of the airline’s ongoing investment in passenger experience.
First Class passengers departing Australia will soon enjoy a refreshed inflight dining program curated by Qantas Creative Director of Food and Beverage Neil Perry. Drawing inspiration from his acclaimed restaurant Margaret, Perry has crafted a selection of signature dishes alongside new menu items celebrating producers from across Australia.

Meals will be complemented by award-winning Australian wines, an expanded cocktail selection, and a premium champagne offering featuring Bollinger La Grande Année 2015 and Pommery Cuvée Louise 2006. The elevated menu underscores Qantas’s commitment to celebrating Australian culinary excellence at 40,000 feet.
Menu highlights include:
- Margaret’s tartare of yellowfin tuna with gochujang, toasted sesame, and baby cos
- Roasted Wollemi duck with orange caramel, crisp Chinese greens, golden sesame, and jasmine rice
- Crumbed Margra lamb cutlets with shaved fennel, pine nuts, rocket, salsa verde, and lemon
- Neil Perry’s Gran Torino Torta Di Verona with Amaretto and toasted almonds

First Class guests will also receive new Aesop amenity kits available in three collectible designs created exclusively for Qantas. Each kit includes premium skincare essentials such as Aesop hand balm, rinse-free hand wash, lip salve, a bamboo toothbrush and toothpaste, and a curated fragrance sample. Other additions include an eyeshade, a reusable cap, and 3M earplugs.
Qantas is also refreshing its sleepwear offering, introducing navy Qantas-designed pajamas and loafer-style slippers on long-haul flights.
As Qantas prepares for its ultra-long-haul Project Sunrise operations, the airline is increasing its focus on wellness and jetlag mitigation. First Class passengers will now be able to dine on demand, which allows them to maximize rest at times that suit their personal sleep schedule.
Qantas operates A380 First Class service to key global destinations including Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB), London Heathrow International Airport (LHR), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). The new First Class enhancements will continue rolling out across the network and are expected to be fully implemented by mid-2026.
Qantas International CEO, Cam Wallace, said:
Our customers fly First because they value the quality in every detail. On longer flights, a fine dining experience, premium amenities and complete comfort really matter, so we’ve focused on improving each of these areas. Our incredible Cabin Crew have been undergoing inflight trials and an intensive training program. It is great to welcome new premium partners onboard and we look forward to delivering this new experience for our First customers.”
Anthony’s Take: Qantas has and will soon have even more of the world’s longest flights. It’s great to see the Australian carrier investing in making the experience better for its most premium passengers.
