Marriott Bonvoy® and United MileagePlus have partnered for some time to offer elite members benefits, status, and more. The two loyalty programs have just launched a joint promotion where some elite members will be able to earn points and miles.

United Marriott Promo

This new promotion is available to Marriott Bonvoy® Titanium and Ambassador members as well as United MileagePlus Premier Gold, Platinum, and 1K members. Once registered, members can earn Marriott Bonvoy® points for United flights and United MileagePlus miles for Marriott stays between July 1st and August 31st.

With this promotion, there are several ways to earn miles and points. These include:

  • 750 bonus Marriott Bonvoy® points for eligible United flights
  • 500 bonus United MileagePlus miles for eligible Marriott stays
  • Members who complete both a flight and stay together will earn an additional one-time bonus of 350 bonus Marriott Bonvoy® points and 350 bonus United MileagePlus miles

Registration for the promotion can be found here. Travel does not need to have been made before registering, so current bookings will count. Bonuses are for stays and not individual nights with Marriott Bonvoy®. For United MileagePlus, it’s per itinerary (and not each flight). There is no cap on earnings. Only paid stays and flights count, so award and cash & points rates are ineligible.

Anthony’s Take: If you’re holding elite status with both Marriott and United, then this is a good opportunity to earn some additional points and miles this summer.
