Frontier Airlines is offering an opportunity for frequent flyers and those who want Frontier status: for a limited time, members of Southwest Rapid Rewards®, JetBlue TrueBlue®, Spirit Free Spirit®, or Alaska Mileage Plan™ can unlock Frontier Elite Gold status through December 2026 for just $69. You do not have to hold elite status with any of these loyalty programs to be eligible and the benefits can clearly make up the $69 if you fly Frontier with any regularity.
Frontier Elite Gold status comes with a host of benefits designed to elevate the low-cost travel experience. These include:
- One free carry-on bag
- Zone 1 priority boarding
- Priority customer care
- Free preferred seat selection
- Complimentary upgrades to premium seating at check-in, and to UpFront Plus seating beginning four hours before departure
Gold members also enjoy faster rewards, earning 14x miles per $1 spent on eligible Frontier purchases. This makes it easier to climb to Elite Platinum or Elite Diamond status. Higher tiers bring even greater rewards including unlimited companion travel for Platinum and Diamond members. In late 2025, Frontier will also debut First Class seating.
The offer is pretty straightforward. In order to qualify:
- You must be a current FRONTIER Miles members (new customers can enroll free before applying).
- Eligible applicants must have been enrolled in a participating airline’s loyalty program before August 18th
- Status upgrades are processed within 24 to 48 hours of purchase.
- Once activated, Gold status is non-refundable and cannot be applied retroactively to existing bookings where ancillary items (such as seats or bags) have already been purchased.
- Members who previously participated in Frontier’s Southwest Rapid Rewards® status match campaign are not eligible.
- Click here to pay the $69 and register.
Anthony’s Take: Frontier’s latest offer aligns with its current campaign to redefine low-cost air travel. Enhanced products including UpFront Plus seating and a First Class cabin are coming soon. This is a great deal if you fly Frontier often or think you will in the future.
