Last fall, Hyatt announced plans for a new short-term vacation rental platform called Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt. It features short-term rentals of private homes throughout the United States and offers World of Hyatt members direct booking access to everything from beach houses to penthouses to ski chalets. It has launched in October 2023 and bookings can be made on the new platform. Hyatt is currently offering members the opportunity to earn 3x points on reservations booked through Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt.
The promotion is valid for stays that are booked and executed between August 21st and November 3rd. Bonus points will post to member’s accounts within two to four weeks after an eligible stay. Points are earned only on rental charges and not on any other fees (i.e. cleaning, booking, taxes, etc.).
Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt offers members point earning opportunities at the following rates (not including this promotion):
- Member: 5 points per $1
- Discoverist: 5.5 points per $1 (includes 10% status bonus)
- Explorist: 6 points per $1 (includes 20% status bonus)
- Globalist: – 6.5 points per $1 (includes 30% status bonus)
With this promotion, I would earn 16.5 points per $1 as a Globalist (not including the points I’d earn using my World of Hyatt Credit Card).
Terms & Conditions:
- During the Promotion Period, members earn triple World of Hyatt points for each whole U.S. dollar (or U.S. dollar equivalent) spent on Eligible Rate per Eligible Stay at properties booked through Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt.
- For a property to be participating in the promotion, the property needs to be participating in World of Hyatt at the time of the member’s stay.
- All points awarded under this promotion are Bonus Points. You will receive ten (10) Bonus Points per eligible dollar spent on your Eligible Stay.
- This is in addition to the five (5) Base Points you would earn as your base earning.
- For the purpose of this promotion, an “Eligible Stay” is defined as any stay where a member is paying an Eligible Rate.

Anthony’s Take: I’m not big on renting vacation homes, but if you’re loyal to Hyatt and looking then this is a decent way to rack up some extra points.
